The Nordhavn Tunnel excavation between two sheet-pile walls, with monitoring equipment at the bottom of the pit
Overview From metro to levelling bolt

Large projects and small jobs

Some projects run for ten years with hundreds of instruments, others are four vibration monitors on a square for half a year. What they share is that the data arrives in time, and that the limits follow the project's risk. How we begin with a needs analysis.

Client
Eiffage Génie Civil
Owner
Nye Veier
Location
Brevik, Norway

Completed

A new 600 m cable-stayed bridge across the Frierfjord on the E18. At pylon P2 we cast strain gauges into the foundation, welded strain gauges to the temporary struts between the pylon legs with automatic readings and alarms in Kronos for about 13 months, and supplied custom anchor load cells. The gauges were zeroed at ground level, so the readings showed the actual strut loads as the pylon rose.
